Fluorescence Excitation-Emission Matrix Spectroscopy and Parallel Factor Analysis in Drinking Water Treatment: A Review
نویسندگان
چکیده
Fluorescence excitation-emission matrix (EEM) spectroscopy coupled with parallel factor analysis (PARAFAC) is an established tool of organic matter fingerprinting in aqueous systems. Recently, EEMPARAFAC has been successfully applied in drinking water treatment for simple, rapid, and sensitive evaluation of organic matter removal during different treatment processes. This review describes some recent applications of EEM-PARAFAC in the drinking water industry. It is divided into two sections according to field of application: characterization of organic matter and its removal in drinking water treatment, and determination of contaminants in drinking water.

متن کاملCoupling Second-Order Excitation-Emission Spectrofluorimetric Data with Standard Addition method to Quantify Carvedilol in Real Samples
Prediction using pure standards is expected to be biased whenever the slope of the calibration is affected by the presence of sample matrix. Moreover, in the presence of unknown spectral interferents, first-order algorithms like partial least squares cannot be used. In this study, a method for determination of carvedilol (CAR) in tablet and urine samples is proposed by excitation-emission fluor...

With the rapid development of water quality analysis technology, endocrine disruptors (ECDs) such as residual pharmaceuticals including antibiotics are continuously detected from the drinking water sources of Korea which are mostly rivers. Due to the recent abnormal climate, the average temperature of river and lake water has been increased, and substances having taste and odours because of alg...
